Do you have trouble focusing?

I have the toughest time staying focused when things get a little chaotic. This is likely do to adrenal stress.

Thankfully, there are essential oils that can help with this, too! (Now do you believe how beneficial essential oils are to your kitchen cabinet?)

If you need a quick pick-me-up, essential oils worth checking out include juniper berry, rosemary, lime, grapefruit, lemon, and frankincense.

I also get great results using a drop of frankincense under the tongue. My best story with this oil took place on a road trip when I began getting tired and after one drop was able to go for an extra 2 hours without being drowsy. The reason has nothing to do with frankincense being a stimulant, but rather its active role in balancing and toning the nervous system.

In fact, that is why it works so well with mental focus for kids!

My all time favorite blend is dōTERRA® InTune, one swipe under the nose and/or the back of your neck keeps you focused for hours.

And do you want to know a little secret most people don’t know?

Apply to your belly and see mental focus go up even more because the gut is our second brain and many of the oils found in dōTERRA® InTune have ingredients that help to temporarily decrease inflammation. In fact, there are more neurotransmitters in the gut than there are in your brain.

MIND BLOWN, right?

When I learned that, I knew I needed to get as much intestinal support as possible considering our modern day diets. dōTERRA® Pb assist® and dōTERRA® Terrazyme® are a great addition to intestinal support which in turn helps with mood and focus because of all the neurotransmitters in our intestines that directly affect our brain, have you ever noticed our brain and gut look the same shape?!

Additionally, I love adding 2 drops of wild orange and 2 drops of peppermint essential oil to my diffuser and pausing for a moment to b-r-e-a-t-h-e.

After a minute or two, I’m ready to tackle the world.

If you don’t have a diffuser, add a few drops of these essential oils to a warm bath, sniff from the bottle or apply to hands and cup hands in front of nose and breathe deeply.
