I talk to kids about doing what’s right every single day. Doing the little things right , all the time, is a simple task but can be difficult. Never tire of doing what is right. I have that verse written down and highlighted in my office. I see it every day and do my best to act on it, all the time.
Dose of the Daily Word
1 Timothy 4:15-16
15 Be diligent in these matters; give yourself wholly to them, so that everyone may see your progress. 16 Watch your life and doctrine closely. Persevere in them, because if you do, you will save both yourself and your hearers.
I read this verse this morning and have had all day to reflect on what it means to me and how it applies to my life. Be diligent in these matters. Always do what is right. I have a tendency to get complacent when I get over-stressed, over-worked, and over-tired. We must stay diligent in always doing what is right. My family, students, and coworkers see me everyday. I want them to see my life and how Christianity makes it so much more! Pay attention to your words and actions everyday. Ensure they are God glorifying. Perseverance is strengthened by constant battles being won for Jesus.
