We are meant to be courageous risk takers. We should all aspire to do that with every endeavor we partake in: professional, personal, family, financial etc. Put your faith in God and see what can happen.
Dose of the Daily Word
+ Psalm 56:3-4 When I am afraid, I will trust in you. In God, whose word I praise, in God I trust; I will not be afraid. What can mortal man do to me?
+ Isaiah 41:10 So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.
+ Isaiah 41:13 For I am the LORD, your God, who takes hold of your right hand and says to you, Do not fear; I will help you.
+ Matthew 10:28 And do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. But rather fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.
+ 1 Corinthians 16:13 Be on your guard; stand firm in the faith; be men of courage; be strong.
+ Philippians 1:12-14 Now I want you to know, brothers, that what has happened to me has really served to advance the gospel. As a result, it has become clear throughout the whole palace guard and to everyone else that I am in chains for Christ. Because of my chains, most of the brothers in the Lord have been encouraged to speak the word of God more courageously and fearlessly.
+ Hebrews 13:5-6 For He Himself has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.” So we may boldly say: “The LORD is my helper; I will not fear. What can man do to me?”
+ Deuteronomy 31:6 Be strong and of good courage, do not fear nor be afraid of them; for the LORD your God, He is the One who goes with you. He will not leave you nor forsake you.
+ Psalm 27:1 The LORD is my light and my salvation; Whom shall I fear? The LORD is the strength of my life; Of whom shall I be afraid?
+ 2 Timothy 1:7 For God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love, and self-discipline.
+ 1 John 4:18 There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love.
Reflect to Deflect
Life is tough. Adulting (being a responsible adult) is tough. Fatherhood is tough. Motherhood is tough. Marriage is tough. MY GOD SAYS DO NOT BE AFRAID, DO NOT FEAR, I LOVE YOU AND WILL NEVER LEAVE YOU.
On days like today when the world feels like it’s winning, I open the bible and He speaks to me. My pastor once told me about spiritual exercise. I physically workout everyday to stay in shape. He asked if I spiritually worked out just as much. I did not, therefore my Heavenly muscles were lacking. With prayer, fasting, daily readings of the bible, and worship, I am able to flex my Jesus muscles proudly. So, keep working out, be inspired by His word and never be discouraged or fearful. In Jesus name.
The scripture I was trying to quote. Ecclesiastes 4:12 “Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves. A cord of three strands is not quickly broken.” At the Pastor’s Round Table, this was the very first verse used to the weekly lesson. There are no coincidences, just God moments!
